One Missing after Towing Vessel-Skiff Accident off Louisiana

One person continues to remain missing after a maritime accident involving a towing vessel and a skiff near Morgan City,, Louisiana.  The accident occurred on Sunday.  According to the Coast Guard, officers with the Coast Guard in New Orleans received a report from crewmembers on the towing vessel the UTP Salvation, stating that they had been in an accident with the 17-foot Skiff. Towboat Accident in Ohio Leaves Crewmember Injured

An accident involving a 70-foot towing boat and a bridge on the Ohio River has left one towboat worker injured.  According to the US Coast Guard, the towing vessel Gentry B was pushing three loaded grain barges on the Ohio River, when it struck the US 41 Day Park Highway Bridge. Investigation teams have already arrived, and are investigating the cause of the accident. One crewmember on the tow boat has been injured, and taken to the hospital.
